Boardwalk has signed a deal with Stanton Optical to lease approximately 3,997 s.f. of the approximately 4,873 s.f. multi tenant retail building currently under construction on the Southwest corner of Mission Gorge Road and Carlton Hills Boulevard in Santee. Stanton will bring an alternative to over-priced eye care services in Santee and will offer over 3,000 discounted designer frames. Based out of Florida, Stanton Optical currently has over 50 stores in 14 states.
Boardwalk has signed a lease with Vapin the 619 to take over the space formerly occupied by Stellar Solar at Diane Village Pad in Clairemont. This is Vapin the 619's second location. Like their first location in El Cajon, Vapin the 619 will be providing vape products that can provide an alternative to cigarrettes.
Boardwalk has signed a lease with a new Robeks operator to take over the existing Robeks location at the Iberia Center in Rancho Bernardo. The store is expected to undergo a fresh interior remodel but will continue serving RB residents smoothies and other health related products.
Ironwood rounds out the tenant list at the newly built La Paz Village Pad by leasing 1,975 s.f. of the newly built 6,120 s.f. building. Ironwood is the highly anticipated debut of restaurateur Russ Bendel's second restauarnt. His first restaurant, Vine Restaurant and Bar in San Clemente, has been a hit since its inception in 2013.
A lease has been completed at the newly remodeled La Paz Village.
Boardwalk has signed a lease with Dunkin Donuts for the last remaining of the two parcels of land they own in National City. The site is located at East Plaza Blvd and the 805 Freeway and is expected to have tremendous visibility from the freeway. Dunkin Donuts arrival to San Diego has been highly anticipated and the National City location will be its first freestanding drive thru in San Diego. A lease has been completed at Diane Village PAD near the new SDGE innovation center in Clairemont.
Boardwalk has inked a 10 year ground lease for one of the two parcels of land they own on East Plaza Blvd. and the 805 Freeway in National City. Boardwalk has sold the Townhomes in Kensington that they purchased in August of 2014 for $1,590,000. Boardwalk held the asset for 9 months.
